From the Pits Against the Thieves – Protest in Lazarevac

Protest of EPS workers in Lazarevac to stop repression and restore the public status of the enterprise.

On Saturday, August 30, we are organizing a protest in Lazarevac titled “Save EPS! From the Pits Against the Thieves”.

Our demands are clear:

  • Restoring EPS to the status of a public enterprise in order to protect the public interest.
  • Taking on all Pro Tent workers under EPS contracts.
  • Immediate cessation of repression and the reinstatement of workers who were fired for their views.
  • Returning the mining royalty directly to the budget of Lazarevac.

By protecting EPS, we protect public goods. By protecting workers, we protect all of us. EPS is our shared good, and workers are not just numbers.
